Creating an Episode Script

A script is created by choosing options from conditional dropdown menus, writing dialog for the characters, and controlling their actions.

At the beginning of each Episode, set where and when the scene takes place:

  • Location: Choose a location from the dropdown, such as Longbourn or Netherfield.

  • Room: Choose a specific room within that location from the dropdown, such as the Drawing Room or Wisteria Arbor.

  • Time of Day: Use the slider to choose from Dawn, Morning, Noon, Afternoon, Twilight, or Night.

  • Floorplan: Click to open the floorplan of a location or room in a browser tab.

Add each of the characters to the scene, set where they are positioned when the scene starts, and select a related verb.

  • Who?: Choose a character from the dropdown. This will bring up conditional dropdowns showing options available in this room.

  • Where?: Select the starting position for that character– a specific spot in the room, an object (interactive prop or furniture), or close to another character.

  • Doing?: Select a related verb to describe what the character is doing, such as Move To, Look At, or Sit.

  • Add Character: Click to add additional characters to the scene.

  • Add the Camera: Add it as a character and set its starting position with the verb Move to.

For each line of the script, choose a character, then write dialog for that character and/or control their actions.

  • Point the Camera: In the first line of dialog, select the camera, select an Object and the verb Look At.

  • Select Character from the dropdown (only characters selected at the beginning of the scene will be available).

  • Dialog (verbatim): Type verbatim dialog (without quotation marks) in the Dialog text field and the character will speak it as written.

  • Dialog (AI Instruction mode): You can give the AI an instruction to create its own dialog for that line based on your prompt:

    • Click the Star symbol to the right of the dialog field.

    • Type your instruction prompt in the dialog text field (without quotation marks). Instructions should begin with a strong verb (like “tell” or “ask” or “complain”) and be specific.

    • For example, you could give Lydia an instruction like “Brag to Kitty about all of the officers you danced with at the ball last night.”

  • Action: Control the character’s actions with two conditional dropdowns– move from one spot to another, leave or enter a room, interact with props (sit in a chair, read a book), or interact with other characters (move to or look at another character).

    • Select Object: Something or someone for that character to interact with or move to.

    • Select Verb: A verb related to that object.

    • Emotion: Control the character’s emotional state with two dropdowns, Emotion (such as excitement, anger, or surprise) and Strength (weak, normal, strong).
